His recent feature films include Gator Lake, Gator Face, and Love on the Lake. His first foray into writing and producing was the successful feature film The Way Back Home starring legendary actresses Ruby Dee and Julie Harris. Michael also recently wrote and directed the TV pilot Townsend, which has been recognized as Best TV Pilot / TV Series at multiple notable film festivals and has been optioned by a Los Angeles film company. He has four other feature scripts in active pre-production, including Gator Lake: Terror Rising, My Best Friend, The Third Thing, and The Land of Wonder.

Michael has an MBA from Rollins College Crummer School of Business, an English degree from Duke University, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He began his entertainment career as an actor in New York on the soap operas As the World Turns and Another World. After a move to Los Angeles, Michael made guest appearances on Homeland, Burn Notice, Men Behaving Badly, Star Trek Voyager, Philly, Drop Dead Diva, Days of Our Lives, Hyperion Bay, Saving Graces, Pacific Blue, Sliders, Unhappily Ever After, and Green Sails, where he was a series regular (shot in Australia).

As recent as 2025, Michael could be seen on NBC’s Grosse Pointe Garden Society in the recurring role of Mayor “Buzz” Lewis and opposite Harrison Ford in Marvel’s Captain America 4: Brave New World (scene got cut, which sucked!). Currently, he can be seen playing Vivica A. Fox’s boss in the Tubi Original Twisted House Sitter 2 (do not watch, worst thing ever).

From 2008–2021, Michael co-founded Elevation Financial Group, a private equity real estate company, with his brother. In that time, they raised and deployed over $100MM in the purchasing and repositioning of low-income senior towers and multi-family apartment communities across 10 states from Florida to Massachusetts. He remains an owner and he and his beautiful wife, Tam, live in Winter Park, Florida close to their two adult daughters and five amazing grandsons.
